USAG Competitive Team
Level 2 – 7 and Xcel
The Developmental Program was developed with the belief that all athletes, regardless of their potential, must have a solid foundation of basic skills in order to advance safely. The program allows the gymnast to advance at her own pace. Stars USAG program is divided into two segments; compulsory and optional.
The first segment is the Compulsory-Levels 2-5. Competitive opportunities are provided up to and including the USA Gymnastics State Championships.
The second segment is the Optional Levels 6-10. Level 6 & 7 has competitive opportunities up to and including State Championships.
XCEL Competitive Team
Xcel brings competitive gymnastics to gymnasts in
a program that embraces all skill levels – beginner through
advanced. It is a personalized competitive program starting
at the first entry division.
The Xcel Program is designed to offer a broad-based, affordable competitive experience outside the traditional Developmental Program to attract and retain a diverse group of
athletes.

The mission of the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) is to create and maintain in the State of Texas a permanent organization representative of amateur athletics and/or organizations, devoted thereto; to establish and maintain the highest ideals of amateur sports in the State of Texas; promote the development of physical education and to encourage the standardization of rules of all amateur athletics, games and competitions.
TAAF gymnastics follows all USAG rules and regulations and uses official USAG certified judges for all meets. The TAAF competition season is January to May.
