About Ashly Baker

Ashly Baker is a highly respected gymnastics coach with decades of experience in athlete development, coaching, and judging at the highest levels of the sport. Throughout her career, she has helped numerous gymnasts achieve success on both national and international stages. Her coaching expertise has led athletes to compete and medal in prestigious competitions, including the 2006 World Championship, where her team earned a silver medal, and the 2005 Senior Pan American Championships, where her team won gold. She has also coached champions at the Jr. Pan American Championships, the American Cup, and the International Jr. Championships in Yokohama, Japan.
Beyond her work with elite competitors, Ashly has developed and mentored gymnasts who have earned over 40 international medals, trained six athletes who made National Teams, and cultivated TOPs and Developmental Team Members since 1998. Her commitment to gymnastics extends beyond coaching; she has served as a TOPs State Manager, an Elite Zone Administrator, a member of the Athlete Development Committee, and Region 3 Junior Olympic Chairman. Additionally, she has contributed her expertise as a USAG Brevet Judge.
Ashly’s dedication to safety and skill development is reflected in her extensive certifications, including Master of Sport, FIG Brevet Coaching Certification, USAG Brevet Judging Certification, Safe Sport, and USAG Safety Certification. She is also CPR and First Aid Certified, ensuring the highest level of athlete care.
Throughout her career, Ashly has led and developed multiple gymnastics programs. Since 2006, she has served as the Owner and Head Coach of Stars Gymnastics in Houston, Texas. Prior to that, she was the Head Coach at Browns Gymnastics Houston, Stars Gymnastics Bakersfield, California, and Rising Star Gymnastics in Gainesville, Florida, where she was also the owner.
Ashly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Tourism, and Sports Management from the University of Florida, specializing in Sports Management. With a passion for excellence and a dedication to athlete development, she continues to inspire and shape the future of gymnastics through expert coaching and mentorship.
